Syntea Business Solutions has completed a project of Microsoft Dynamics Ax 2009 system implementation in SAS Institute, a subsidiary of SAS Institute Inc., the largest independent vendor in the business intelligence market. Implementation works lasted from August 2011 till January 2012.
Syntea BS is a local partner responsible for conducting analysis, adaptation of the system to the Polish regulations, data conversion from the previously used XAL system, delivery of trainings and assistance during system tests, system start-up and post-start-up support.
In the first phase of the project there were launched functionalities to finances management, sales and purchases accounting, electronic exchange of information with the banking system and data import from the external sales billing systems. In the subsequent phases of the project it is planned to launch modules for sales and assets management.
Implementation in the Polish branch of SAS Institute allowed for inclusion into the globally managed application by headquarters in North Carolina in the United States. The same application is also used in other branches of the company in Denmark, France, Germany, Czech Republic and Hungary.
Due to an implementation an organization marked the following benefits:
- lower costs due to the integration of the systems in company’s branches in different countries into one central application,
- improvement in the area of analytics and reporting
- time reduction for entering documents to the system and risk reduction in the area of incorrect data due to the automatic data import from the external systems.

Also, experience in implementing XAL system - the predecessor to Microsoft Dynamics Ax, we considered to be very important.
