Retail Sales is characterized by the following functionalities available directly from the level of Microsoft Dynamics AX:

  • transaction-based support for communication with a cash register,
  • automatic configuration of new POS,
  • servicing multiple POS within one store,
  • servicing major and additional barcodes,
  • automatic transmission of the database of goods, barcodes, prices to a given cash register,
  • automatic change of data pertaining to specific goods (name, barcode, VAT rate, etc.),
  • cash payment and card payment services,
  • multi-currency services,
  • electronic data interchange (EDI),
  • automatic clearing of invalid additional barcodes,
  • filing and full insight into analytical sales data (to the level of an item on a receipt),
  • automatic entering and global recording of sales – consists in importing data pertaining to goods sold in all stores to the system where it is automatically distributed into proper accounts,
  • automatic entering and recording of sales payments – depending on cash or card payment, it gives possibility to determine the ratio of amounts paid by cash and card,
  • automatic recognition and aligning of card payments.

The abovementioned functionalities offer the following advantages to the company:

  • real time information about company’s performance – we receive an opportunity to analyze demand and adjust the supply to the fluctuating market conditions; at any time, we are able to find the latest profitability reports regarding sales and purchase of particular range of goods, groups, stores and react fast enough to the emerging changes,

  • low warehousing costs – we ensure the optimum inventory level and more effective use of available warehousing space,
  • efficient flow of documents between the company and its contractors (EDI) – we reduce the time of entering and recording documents, therefore we deliver customer orders and receive payments quicker; within the same period as before, we serve more customers generating higher income,
  • integrated database of goods – we have one common place for storing all information about the company, which in case of determining access powers, translates into fast and safe searching and saving of time and costs of drawing up reports,
  • automated and enhanced management of logistic and retail sales processes in a multi-branch structure – we save time which so far was assigned for creating and establishing new goods and prices in hundreds of stores, as by making a change in one location, we make changes in all or selected stores,
  • scalability of the system and facilitated work in accounting and financial area – we make more efficient use of our employees’ work, as by reducing the time of circulation and recording of financial documents as well as by eliminating the need to enter one and the same document in a number of systems, we are able to extend sales range and scale,
